Most common format: STL. Keep it as default — describes triangle geometry and works everywhere. Downside: no color, units, or material info. Fine for 90% of jobs.
Pick STEP / STP when the file is a mechanical part with exact dimensions (CAD, parameters, curves). The slicer turns it into triangles anyway, but we keep mathematical precision for any tweaks.
3MF is the modern STL replacement — supports colors, materials, transformations, supports. Good when you use Fusion / Cura / PrusaSlicer and want our operator to see exactly what's on your screen.
Send OBJ only if the file has color textures (full-color figurine). Not a typical functional-print format — more for visualization.
